OUR MISSION
At Shine for You, our mission is to bring warmth, comfort, and connection to people of all ages in hospitals—children, teens, adults, and the elderly—through handwritten letters and meaningful artwork created by volunteers. We believe that even the smallest act of kindness—a note filled with encouragement, a drawing made with care—can bring light into someone’s darkest or loneliest moments. This project is rooted in compassion and led by youth who want every patient to feel seen, valued, and loved. Our goal is to remind each person that they are not alone—that someone, somewhere, is thinking of them, cheering them on, and shining just for them.

Join/Start a Star in your area today!
Don’t want to make cards & paintings? Don’t worry! We have other ways for you to make a difference. At SFY we have something called a Star, this is a drop-off point for all letters and art. By starting a Star in your area you will be part of the journey that each package takes on its way to local hospitals.
Write letter(s) or make artwork
Our main focus is to distribute letters and artwork to patients in hospitals. You can find local Stars on our Star map. There you will drop off your mail and we will receive it for distribution. Sign up in order to be part of our mission. As of today, our only Star is located in West Palm Beach, Florida. We are in the process of expanding.
